We are looking for an immediately available HR Assistant to join a Financial markets technology compamy based in the City of London. It is initially for 6 months with a view to going permanent for the right candidate. Previous HR Admin exp is essential Ensure pre-approval process is adhered to for every hire by raising new hire requisitions in Workday, tracking and chasing approval where necessary. * Provide administrative support to ensure a smooth starter / leaver process for permanent and temporary workforce ensuring all documentation is completed to a high standard and filed accordingly. * Prepare contracts, new starter packs and creation of new employee files. * Conduct pre-employment background checks, collecting copies of documentation, reviewing the completed checks and following up with any discrepancies in a timely manner. * Manage new starter onboarding process prior to joining and organise welcome meetings on the first day with the new starters to run through documentation and housekeeping queries. * Owning the administration for the contingent worker population (new hires and extensions) specifically to ensure all SoW (Schedule of Work) documents are completed accurately and received in a timely manner. * Manage probation periods and issue the relevant paperwork. * Manage the maternity/paternity/family friendly processes and documentation from end to end, updating the HR system where necessary and close liaison with payroll. * Prepare requisitions for approval within Workday for any contractual changes. * Prepare and issue any other documentation needed for the end to end employee lifecycle including salary letters, internal transfers, change in roles etc. * Prepare redundancy calculations as required and leaver documentation. * Updating Workday with employee details where necessary and ensuring complete accuracy of the data * Assist with the production of reports, org charts and contractual detail summaries where necessary. * Participate in projects to improve processes and practices within the team and assist in the implementation of these initiatives. * Assist with the administration of inbound/outbound relocations of employees. * Assist with the preparation of work visas where appropriate. * Preparing and issuing employment references including; mortgage and tenancy, employment confirmation and leavers. * General administrative housekeeping duties, in addition to scanning, printing, filing and archiving where needed. * To fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
