Main responsibilitiesWithin BC&I, our System Testing Team use robust processes to provide stakeholders with the relevant information in order that they are confident in the quality of the software delivery, thereby enabling user acceptance of the delivered product.

The purpose of this role is to provide testing for systems and solutions used both internally within the Society and externally for our customers. You will work collaboratively with other members of the wider change deliver team to deliver large and small scale projects alike.

You will be required to accurately test systems and perform analysis on business requirements; and you will then document outputs, record results, identify defects, and communicate these back to software developers so they can be fixed.

Each Test Cycle you deliver progressively reduces the risk of defects occurring post live release, therefore increasing the confidence of stakeholders in the quality of the software being delivered.

Working as part of a vibrant team consisting of Developers, Testers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Architects, you will be responsible for helping drive the Society forward in the ever evolving technology arena; but you will also work with people across the Society on larger scale, complex and strategic transformation projects.
Ideal candidateHaving the right attitude is paramount for the role. Having strong communication and problem solving skills will enable you to support BC&I to deliver work to the highest standards. Your role will be varied and you will be working on diverse system and software, thus having an eye for detail and being flexible in your approach is crucial for success.

Clearly communicating and working collaboratively with other business areas and technical stakeholders is vital within the role as this assists in enabling a smooth service transition throughout the software development lifecycle that delivers solutions for both our colleagues within the Society, but most importantly our customers.
