Geography teacher required at a high achieving 11-16 mixed sex comprehensive secondary school located in Rochdale.

This is initially a temporary contract for one year, however due to ever increasing number and Humanities being a popular subject within GCSE options, there is the possibility of a permanent contact for the ideal applicant.

*Full time Geography teacher required from September 2018

*Pay in line with MPS1-UPS3 dependent on scale point (�22,917- �38,250)

Applicants must hold UK QTS and a PGCE/Equivalent specialising in secondary Humanities. The ideal candidate will be confident building strong rapport with pupils and hold the ability to consistently deliver ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Geography lessons. Staff within this Geography department hold a shared vision based on providing every pupil with the highest standard of teaching and learning to ensure they achieve above and beyond their expected grades. Those passionate about raising pupil attainment and with proven records will fit perfectly into this position.

Within this new and exciting role, the successful applicant will be required to take on full responsibility of a timetable made up of both KS3 and GCSE Geography classes ranging in ability. You will be required to plan and delivering engaging lessons, whereby you will have full access to excellent facilities and resources within this modern school.

Found in central Rochdale, a short drive from the M62 the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas and has regular public transport links. Serving an ethnically diverse catchment area, there are an average number of EAL pupils on roll in which specialist teaching assistants offer additional support to individual pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
