Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Design and Build Coordinator to join the busy in-house team in Essex.

The Client

Well established and a private owned business whose primary business is construction and construction related activities including:
New Housing and Development
New Social and Education projects
Major Refurbishment
Estate and Area Regeneration
Decent Homes/Planned Maintenance
Reactive Maintenance

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join their growing busy in-house team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all the processes in relation to producing a set of drawings that a building can be built from.
This is a challenging and highly satisfying role as you will be playing a key part in the success of a building project. You must be highly motivated, professional individual and will use your organisational skills to bring together architects, structural engineers and services engineers, along with specialist designers, with the aim of producing a coordinated design.
You will be responsible for:
Managing a design team.
Managing the design process using your commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise.
Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and your obligations in the development of a building design.
Encouraging and inspiring design consultants to produce their best work using their full flair, experience, resources and talents in a cost effective way.
Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate.
Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.
Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
