Project Manager – Naval Ships

A Project Manager is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our defence client based in Leicester.

This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence contract

Overview of the Project Manager contract role

A Project Manager is required to ensure that the naval programme meets its strategic objectives by providing demonstrable de-risking of the frigate P&P system.

This role will be responsible for the following:

* Deliver the Electrical Integration Test Facility scope of work,
* Manage the labour and material control accounts,
* Lead the engineering and project management team. Including Chair the Project Delivery Board.
* Ensure the delivery of OEM scope of work to support programme – including the GE subcontract to run the facility.
* Undertake proactive management of risks and identification of opportunities,
* Working closely with the Technical Authorities and Delivery Leads, ensure that the programme supports the progressive assurance of P&P requirements and verification of the P&P model
* Agree and manage the level of resource necessary to discharge the statement of work,
* Planning, monitoring and reporting against the scope of work,
* Representing the programme in working meetings with the MoD and OEMs.
