Job Title - Maintenance Engineer x2

Shifts:

4on 4off (days only 6am-6pm)

4 on 4 off (days & nights, 6 till 6)

Salary:

4on 4off days �31,000 plus overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 hourly rate

4on 4off days & nights �35,000 plus overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 hourly rate

The Company

Our client specialises in the manufacture of products for the construction market. With sites across the UK, this multi-million-pound company are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established Engineering team.

Their Nottinghamshire site produces millions of bricks per year and with the construction market booming this figure is set to increase to million by the end of 2018. To meet this demand the company have a number of continuous improvement and CAPEX projects both underway and planned.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all Electrical fault finding and rectification work on production systems on site. This would include fault finding through to component level with a multimeter or by interrogating the PLC via a laptop (Siemens S7), and replacing any faulty parts.

Electrical components including Photocells, proximity switches, relays, inverters, contactors, PILZ units, fans, limit switches, light curtains, 3 phase motors, brake motors, servos, solenoids, lighting, LEDs, thermocouples, flow meters and heat probes.

90% of the work will be focused on work from the Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule. As such the Maintenance Engineer will only be dealing with two to three minor breakdowns per day.

Production equipment includes belt conveyors for transporting raw clay from the quarry, hydraulic mixers, hydraulic extruders, fixed wire cutters, chain lead kiln cars, hot air driers, gas fire tunnel kilns and robotic palletisers.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

* Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
* Must have a recognised Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, ONC, HNC, HND).
* Must have experience working on automated process equipment.

Training

A significant training matrix will part of your induction process and during this period you would be partnered with one of the Senior Engineers who would be you mentor.

The Business can also offer specific electrical courses through and have recently arranged for all their engineers to attend a PLC course to enhance their skillset.
