We are looking for a Groups and Associations Coordinator to join the busy events team at Milton Hill House. Milton Hill House is an enchanting Georgian Manor house surrounded by 20 acres of tranquil parkland and is a delightful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. Located near the village of Steventon just 13 miles from Oxford, we offer an extensive choice of business and conference facilities as well as a range of function spaces suitable for all types of events including conferences, weddings and parties.
Main responsibilitiesAs Groups and Associations Coordinator you will be looking to convert new enquiries into confirmed events ensuring all event detail is discussed with the customers and clearly communicated to the Operational Team in order to run a smooth and successful event. As the events team are the first point of contact with our customers, you must at all times be pleasant in your telephone manner, efficient, have excellent customer care skills, be a good communicator and have excellent administration skills.

As Groups and Associations Coordinator, you will act on all new enquiries coming into the events team, creating proposals based on customer requirements with particular focus on group bookings, association and special events. Based solely at the hotel, you will be on hand to conduct show rounds at the property and be able to demonstrate the facilities to prospective clients. You will be responsible for the planning of that event from start to finish ensuring all details are relayed to the Operational Team for efficient execution. You will be expected to manage a wide range of events at any one time whilst ensuring the highest standards of service at all times.

You will also be on hand to support the Reservations Coordinator and Corporate Events Team during busy periods.

You will be working in a busy sales office environment which requires a consistency in customer service and being able to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team and will be expected to assist with other duties as required.
Ideal candidateWe are ideally looking for experience working in a hospitality or event planning environment. · The ability to work well under pressure is important as is open and approachable manner. You will thrive on interacting with people and demonstrate a proactive approach and can do attitude. You will be focused on delivering outstanding levels of customer service at all times.
