Job Description:
Our client who is an iconic luxury sports car manufacture, is currently recruiting for the following role:

Job Purpose
Vehicle Chassis Systems contributes to the overall success of the Chassis Department carrying out vehicle and system design and engineering specification activities. This role involves:
- managing the functional and technical delivery of all of the Chassis systems to the vehicle platforms; and
- managing the generation and maintenance of Chassis costs, timing plans, reporting documents and presentation material.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Facilitate the creation and detailing of our client's technical supplier partnerships as they pertain to Vehicle Chassis Systems in all forms & types.
• Creation of Strategic Component development plan and vision within his/her functional responsibility.
• Internal and external communication with regard to all aspects of engineering activities including technical presentation of engineering activities to Type Approving bodies and agencies.
• Definition of the all Chassis related activities associated to product definition/ specification, taking into account legal and internal targets, authoring final documentation and implementing requirements into design validation programs.
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization and product are met
• Manage the team responsible for all areas of chassis design and product creation including:
- Overall vehicle chassis systems engineer specification.
- Coordinate within the team the creation and management of all data in support of the engineering and validation of all vehicle chassis systems.
- All 2D, 3D data associated to components, systems and supporting products.
- All Specifications and systems documentation
- FMEA & FESO documentation.
- Complete Engineering reports required to support product release.
- Bill of Material and Product Lifecycle Management data for all components and systems.
• Cost Responsibilities: Together with Finance, Program & Chassis Chief Engineer establish budgetary and forecast information for vehicle material costs and investment costs, maintaining its accuracy within company systems to allow other functions to disseminate and analyse implications.
• Act with the rest of the senior management team to create a motivated, empowered workforce that meets the highest standards of openness and honesty.
• Work with the HR function to plan and develop the skills and capabilities of the team to deliver all core functions both now and in the future.
• Stay abreast of all technologies and developments in the fields of automotive and aerospace and disseminate such data frequently to the rest of the business allowing timely reaction to new opportunities and risks

Qualifications and Experience
• Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred. Degree in another appropriate discipline will be considered
• Extensive experience gained within Chassis commodities and Component Engineering
• Project management experience.
• Proven record or working to strict deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Project.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Confidence with presenting to seniors and taking away actions.
• Excellent understanding of Chassis technologies and their function.
• Able to communicate clearly.
• Can manage and produce and maintain timing plans.
• Able to manage and grow team
• Confident to interface with many departments such as Finance, Programme Management, Attributes and Purchase

Location: Warwickshire

Due to the significant growth our client has experienced in recent years it now benefits from being a true multi-site organisation, and as such this role could be based at a number of sites, including Warwickshire, Wellesbourne and Milton Keynes
