The Role

Reporting to the Regional Director, the General Manager will have overall day to day control of all dealership functions. The position requires strong leadership and motivation, with a particular emphasis on controlling the Sales departments, efficiency of the Service and Bodyshop to ensure continued improvement to customer service levels.

On a daily basis, you will:

- Have strong leadership skills, your primary focus will be to motivate and inspire your team while ensuring policies, processes and legislation are understood and followed.
- Be accountable for fostering manufacturer relationships, controlling finance, cost control and leading a people focused culture.
- Managing the team to ensure the correct level of staffing at all times, focusing on staff training and development to ensure continued success within the business.
- Ensure maximum efficiency and profitability of the franchise whilst operating within the Companys recognised procedures and policy. At the same time you should achieve the highest possible levels of customer and staff satisfaction.
- Work with Franchise Partners and Group Marketing teams to develop marketing strategies to improve performance.
- Have an emphasis on controlling the Sales, Service and Bodyshop to ensure continued improvement to both customer service levels and dealership profitability in line with budget forecasts and annual objectives through a process driven approach.
- Maximise the firms profitability through the sale of vehicles, associated products, parts and labour.

The Ideal General Manager will:

- Self-motivated and passionate People Manager
- Have a proven track record of achieving Manufacturer targets
- Come from the Automotive industry
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills with drive and an enthusiasm for teamwork
- Have strong leadership and motivation skills
