Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large RC Secondary school in Salford. The school are currently recruiting for a team of Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their support team in the new academic year (or sooner if possible).

This position is perfect for a recent Graduate wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching in the future, as it will provide invaluable experience prior to beginning a teacher training programme.

* English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Physical Education support roles available
* Working alongside the class teacher, and supporting students in classes
* Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
* Gain invaluable experience prior to beginning PGCE/teacher training
* Earn up to �300 per week depending upon previous experience
* Work within a large RC Secondary school with outstanding links to training

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within the subject specialism. Further responsibilities incorporate supporting the class teacher, covering lessons in the absence of the teacher and delivering intervention sessions to raise attainment. This experience will enhance future teacher training applications, and may result in a schools direct placement.

Our partner Secondary school and Sixth Form centre has recently been refurbished through the Salford Schools Development Programme, and has large areas to facilitate inclusive learning for all students. Graduate Teaching Assistants will work within departments, however there will be the opportunity to work within the open learning spaces throughout the temporary post.

Located in the Swinton region of Salford, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M60 and the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Bolton, Leigh and central Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
