Our client is currently searching for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician who wants to advance their career and become the best in their field. You'll be working with a tightknit team who pull together to achieve targets. You'll be based at one of their largest depots where in-depth fault finding, maintenance and repairs of electrical systems including HVAC, traction, driver controls, CCTV, communication and software is undertaken.

You will be using diagnostic equipment extensively to collate and analyse the data and liaising closely with Engineering to identify root cause.


As a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician, you will need a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, and a history of fault finding, maintenance and repair of electrical systems on heavy plant, vehicles, aircraft or marine vessels. You'll be able to read and understand electrical schematics and open to continuous learning to develop your skills as a Maintenance Technician. Due to the 24-hour running of the depot, you will need to be comfortable with working rotating shifts which include earlies, lates and nights. You will also be required to undertake and pass the Network Rail medical assessment which includes hearing, sight and mobility testing plus drugs and alcohol screenings.
