Snr System Administrator (Legal IT) - Manchester

£45k + bonus + benefits

My client, a legal services company is looking for a Snr Systems Administrator to be based in Manchester.
They are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector. Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK`s 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large & complex injury and recoveries.

Key Responsibilities:

To be well trained in the administration of MS Server 2008/2012/2016, MS Exchange Server Enterprise 2013\2016, Windows 10 Enterprise, Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 and Citrix administration.
Have experience of supporting and troubleshooting Active Directory.
Desktop deployment SCCM, MDT
Demonstrate significant aptitude for software and hardware deployment, with a good understanding of networking and network equipment including TCP/IP.
Be well motivated and a team player, keen to develop skills or advance their own knowledge.
Demonstrate a broad portfolio of skills and knowledge whilst essentially possessing adequate technical skill and experience to permit independent working where necessary.
Be capable of demonstrating a track record of meeting technical challenges successfully and in a timely fashion.
To assist and take the lead in any IT related projects.
To provide second line support for PC, server and printer hardware and software faults, including component-swap repairs.
To assist in the development, documentation and maintenance of hardware and software reference models.
To assist with the firm`s data resilience strategy.
To evaluate and deploy bug-fixes, updates and enhancements to software.
To implement and develop network hardware, software and monitoring tools.
Be prepared to travel around the UK as required from time to time, with overnight stays wherever necessary.

Key Experience & Skills:

Minimum 3 years` experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of IT service management principles including incident and problem management.
Experience in the administration of Microsoft Server 2012/2016, Exchange Server, Windows 10 Enterprise and Microsoft Office suites.
NAC, Trend OfficeScan - smart protection suite, Forcepoint
Experience of supporting and troubleshooting Active Directory.
Able to demonstrate significant aptitude for software and hardware.
Understand and design network WAN and LAN architectures.
Well presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
TCP/IP networking, Active Directory
VMWare 6\6.5 administration and maintenance
Citrix XenApp Administration - Advantage
SAN Storage Administration NetApp, Nimble
Veeam Backup and Recovery
A Microsoft systems qualification with evidence of desire to progress with such education or equivalent and compelling ability/knowledge not supported by such qualifications.
ITIL awareness, Knowledge of IP telephony.
Demonstrable knowledge of enterprise level Microsoft systems.
A background in Legal IT preferred but not essential.
