The Company and the Role:
The Company offers a great full time permanent Cocktail Bar Manager opportunity, joining their new team to manage an exciting and vibrant Caribbean style cocktail and wine bar based in Southampton. Working 5 days a week, 45 hours per week.
The venue is part of a small independent group who have recently expanded and purchased this Central Southampton venue. You will be leading the day to day Bar Team using your Cocktail Bar knowledge and management experience.
The venue is in the heart of one of the major areas of the town, surrounded by other drinking establishments and restaurants. Competition is out there, but your venue is not looking to compete for the student market or high sales volume, low price point clientele.
The Company is extremely customer focused on its amazing private functions and events trade, but it needs an experienced Bar Manager to head up the day to day bar duties and responsibilities, engaging with customer's, passionate and motivational.
You will report directly to the General Manager who is in charge of all of the private events, functions, profit and Loss, brand awareness, the legal and health and safety requirements of the venue.

The Company takes great pride in the quality and diversity of the experience they offer guests, through attentive, passionate and friendly staff. They are looking for a Cocktail Bar Manager who will be able to add that extra magic, through their cocktail knowledge and Mixology craft.
As Bar Manager you will be responsible to the GM and may be looked upon to take control of day to day duties which could include; cashing up, employee scheduling, using HR software, stock control, stock ordering, and above all managing and motivating your team.
It will be your job to manage a front of house team on a daily basis, to ensure that the customer's expectations are met and exceeded every time they visit, through training, coaching and development of the team.
Working from your own initiative and helping to create ideas and promotions that the GM can produce marketing for, and to push the business forwards, and to increase footfall.
You will be a great team player (Supervisor or Manager), with good organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a very busy cocktail and wine bar venue with a sports bias.

Knowledge and Skills:
You must be an accomplished Cocktail Bar Manager, currently or recently working in a cocktail bar or restaurant environment, at a similar level of seniority (Supervisor or Manager).
You should possess ambition to continually push yourself and your team.
You will be an excellent team player and leader who can respectfully communicate to a team, with a proven track record of working from your own initiative.
You should be IT and PC literate, tech savvy.
You must have either a Cocktail Bar or Mixology training or background.
You should ideally have a Chain or Branded Bar background.

What's on Offer?
A basic salary of around �22,000 - �25,000 per annum plus Tips.
There could be a potential for bonus but it's not guaranteed and depends on the bars profitability, any bonus related pay with have personal and individual targets set.
28 days' holidays.
45 hour working week, 5 days per week.

Uniform policy with the potential of staff uniforms coming in later in the year.
