Experienced HR Officer - Derby

£ 27,000 Salary dependant on experience.

My Client is an Engineering Construction Company serving the Power Generation industry with world class engineering for over 40 years. They have worked on projects all over the world and they are a very friendly and supportive company to work in.

The main responsibilities for this role - Experienced HR Officer ( 2 years minimum Human Resources experience, CIPD / NVQ qualified, Recruitment, Absence Management, Redundancy, Disciplinary and Grievance, Construction experience an advantage )

This role is based in Derby HQ. This role reports to the HR Team Leader. As an HR Officer working in our busy HR Department, no two days will be the same. From taking ownership of the end to end Employee Life Cycle processes, including offer and system set up to supporting managers with employee relations cases and business changes. Must be willing to travel regularly on a weekly basis with overnight stays, Recruitment experience a must, Redundancy experience on a large scale would be great, Construction experience an advantage. Accuracy and attention to detail with a can do attitude and an all rounder HR Generalist.

Skills required for this role - Experienced HR Officer ( 2 years minimum Human Resources experience, CIPD / NVQ qualified, Recruitment, Absence Management, Redundancy, Disciplinary and Grievance, Construction experience an advantage )

You will have a minimum of 2 years generalist HR experience preferably gained within a FE or educational sector. Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards your CIPD or with relevant NVQ status you will be keen to progress and develop within our business.

You will already have a sound knowledge of best practice of the basics including recruitment and selection, absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance and the basics relating to TUPE and redundancy and be ready to support a fast paced, ever changing business and its managers and staff.
