Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a well respected SEN school based in South Warwickshire who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 pupil who is on the cusp of exclusion from the school due to behaviour issues. The school caters for pupils with SEMH & Autism (ASC) aged 5-11. The student is a lover of sports, and outdoor education so the ability to adapt and think outside of the box is essential.

The school is a challenging, yet rewarding environment, where the right candidate would thrive and gain valuable experience for any ambitions to work with pupils with difficult young people, where you can make a considerable difference to their lives.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with Social, Emotional & Mental Health issues, although this doesn't necessarily have to be in a school environment. If you have worked on a 1:1 basis, or with pupils with a form of challenging behaviour you would be a good fit for the role.

However, this role would also be great for a graduate looking for their first role in education.

Any additional positive handling or de-escalation CPD courses such as Team-Teach would be fantastic.

Teaching Personnel also recruit candidates who have undertaken youth work, supported young offenders or those at risk of re-offending and those who have worked in secure or medical units. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
