Teaching Personnel are currently working exclusively with a ‘Good’ secondary school in the city of Nottingham who are looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors to support students transitioning back in to mainstream education from a pupil referral unit.

The role offers a varied and ever changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties. The role is full-time with the offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.

Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:

* Youth work
* Support work & residential care
* Learning mentor in secondary environment
* Prison officers/ tutors
* Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, sociology)

The primary function of this post is to work collaboratively with the team supporting students in developing students confidence, self-esteem, increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in the their lives as a whole.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a provision that has already been identified by Ofsted as a hub of good practise in the city. The senior leadership team are very supportive and offer every opportunity for their staff to take ownership of their work as they recognise every individual is unique and offers their own particular set of skills.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
