Are you looking to use your exceptional finance and accounting experience to support the finance and procurement department of this international EU Agency?

An EU organisation based in Canary Wharf, are looking for an experienced finance / accounts administrator to start immediately on a 10 month interim contract. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a very busy and varied role in an international, corporate fast-paced environment. If you have proven finance experience, attention to detail and are a team player then you will thrive in this role.

You will be responsible for:

* Initiation of financial transactions and preparation of commitment and payment requests;
* Collection, verification and processing of all documentation required to support the commitment and payment requests;
* Following up the financial implementation of projects, checking cost statements, preparation of de-commitments, and ensuring timely closure of contracts and administrative commitments;
* Preparation of budget transfers;
* Filing documents and correspondence according to filing rules;
* Registration and administration of incoming invoices;
* Provision of administrative and finance and accounting support to the Finance team;

Profile

* Fluency in English and another EU language: Spanish, Czech, Danish, German, Estonian, English, French, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Slovakian, Finnish, Swedish, Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Norwegian, Icelandic are the working languages
* Proven professional experience in finance and accounting
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
* Good knowledge of EU Financial Regulation advantageous
* Professional Finance / Accounting qualification advantageous (ACCA, CA, CFO)
* Educated to degree level (preferably in a related subject – finance, economics, business administration)
* Experience working in a multicultural/international working environment;
* Proactive attitude
* Attention to detail
