We are looking to find a hands-on, personable Finance Manager to manage the finance function and lead a team of three. You will be joining a long established and successful company where the culture is a family feel, collaborative, open environment. The role is offered on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave of up to 15 months. Ideally, this role is to start in June 2018 with a two month handover. About the role of the Finance Manager:

You will be responsible the day to day running of the Finance Department. You will support, and line manages three direct reports, understanding their workload, supporting them and providing cover as necessary.

Key responsibilities:

* Processing of PAYE/CIS returns.
* Processing of VAT returns
* Ensuring financial compliance
* Updating and managing cash flow forecasting
* Managing month end close
* Processing month end nominal journals for various divisions
* Producing monthly management accounts and reports for various divisions
* Management of weekly payroll
* Reporting on overhead costs vs budget
* Report monthly KPI figures
* Supervising members of the Finance team
* Supervising and monitoring all the accounting operations in the company
* Assisting with projects and initiatives as they arise, helping to improve processes where possible

Key skills & experience required for the Finance Manager:

* Qualified by experience, AAT, CIMA or part qualified
* Leadership, team management experience
* Attention to detail
* Good at analysis and problem solving
* Advanced MS Excel skills – pivot tables & v lookups
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Construction experience would be advantageous

The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm and 3:30 pm finish on Fridays. Please note there is flexibility on the hours If required.
