LOCATION: Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire (commutable from Hull, Leeds, Wakefield and Scunthorpe)

JOB TITLE: Traffic / Transport Planner

SALARY & BENEFITS: Negotiable dependent on skills and experience

WORKING HOURS: Full Time – 6am to 3pm plus alternate Saturday mornings

THE COMPANY: Our client offer a full range of tanker solutions across the UK. From loading to shipping, handling to transport, and by using the latest advances in engineering and technology they provide their customers with the most professional transport solution possible. They now seek an experienced and highly organised Traffic Planner / Transport Planner to join their existing team based out of Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire.

THE ROLE: As a Traffic / Transport Planner your duties will include sharing the traffic planning and load allocation to a large fleet of vehicles. You will coordinate the daily loading of vehicles, prepare POD's for drivers and ensure the smooth running of all deliveries and logistics. You will also liaise with colleagues and customers and will be a point of call for any queries.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Traffic / Transport Planner's role must have previous experience in a similar planning & logistics type role and must have excellent organisational and planning skills as well as excellent geographical knowledge of UK road networks. You should be a good communicator and be able to work with and liaise with drivers, customers and other colleague and must have good IT skills. Candidates must be able to work the early shift (6am to 3pm) including alternate Saturdays and must be able to easily commute to Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire (commutable from Hull, Leeds, Wakefield and Scunthorpe)

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Traffic / Transport Planners role :-

- Must have previous experience as a Traffic / Transport Planner or in a similar planning & logistics type role
- Excellent planning and organisational skills essential
- Must be an excellent communicator and be able to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent geographical knowledge of UK and roads
- Must be able to work 6am to 3pm including alternate Saturdays
- Must live within commutable distance to Goole.
