A residential and day school for boys with Autism in Oxford are looking for a Fully Qualified ICT Teacher to join their team from September.

All their students are aged between 11-19 years and have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - mainly Asperger’s Syndrome, with many having additional needs arising from other diagnoses including ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and language impairment.

The Teacher will be working with children who have a wide range of needs such as:

* Severe learning difficulties
* Poor self esteem
* Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
* Inability to form appropriate social relationships
* A diagnosis of Autism and ADHD

Role:

* Working with a small group of pupils
* Providing ongoing support to children with special educational needs
* Growing pupils confidence and encouraging them towards independence
* Providing a calming environment for children

Personal qualities required:

* A good listener and sensitive to pupils needs
* A sense of responsibility
* Positive behaviour management
* A good sense of humour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
