A large and Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ SEN school in South Croydon have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive teaching assistant to support children with PMLD.

You will be working in a key stage 3 class comprised of just 8 students, all of whom have severe learning difficulties, medical and physical disabilities.


* Be available full time
* Have full right to work in the UK
* Have a child workforce DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new one asap
* Have experience providing personal care (toileting and changing)
* Have experience using hoist equipment to move students in and out of wheelchairs (moving and handling or manual handling training strongly desirable)
* Have a positive attitude and be willing to get stuck into the role straight away
* Be able to work collaboratively with other teaching assistants, under the overall direction of the class teacher

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
