Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Science teacher on behalf of our partner school located on the boarder of Wigan and Leigh.

* Science teaching post from September 2018 – 12 months initially with permanent opportunity

* Science department achieve results above the national average

Due to a gap within their Science department ahead of the new academic year, the Headteacher of this 11-16 mixed comprehensive wishes to appoint a Science teacher on a fixed term basis from September 2018.

Applicants must hold UK QTS and a PGCE/Equivalent specialising in secondary Science (All specialisms considered, Physics, Biology and Chemistry). The ideal candidate will be confident building strong rapport with pupils and hold the ability to consistently deliver ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice. Staff within this department hold a shared vision based on providing every pupil with the highest standard of teaching and learning to ensure they achieve above and beyond their expected grades. Those passionate about raising pupil attainment and with proven records will fit perfectly into this department.

Found on the outskirts of the Wigan LEA, this school is located on the skirts of Leigh town centre and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Wigan, Salford, Bolton and Manchester. The majority of pupils on roll (950) are of white british heritage, there are a average amount of EAL pupils on roll and those who are eligible for free school meals.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
