JOB TITLE: Rehabilitation Assistant

SALARY & BENEFITS: £11.50 per hour (£67.50 for sleep-in shifts)

WORKING HOURS: Full Time – Varied hours 

THE ROLE: As a Rehabilitation Assistant you will provide 1-1 support for a Gentleman with
a brain injury in Wakefield.. The role is to support the Client in all aspects of care and rehabilitation, both within the home and when out in the community, providing a holistic and client centred approach.

You will support the client with activities of daily living, implement his rehabilitation programme,
including assisting with hydrotherapy sessions, under the guidance of the involved
professional team of therapists.

Compulsory overnight support will be required and you may be required to accompany the client on holidays and weekends away. The Rehabilitation Assistant will join a Team off 8 who offer 24/7 care. 

Weel 1 - 13.5 hours per week 
Week 2 – 25 hours per week. 

Overtime offered / but not guaranteed.

£11.50 per hour Monday to Friday
£11.50 per hour weekend work
£67.50 for sleep-in shifts (from 22.00 – 07.00)

THE CANDIDATE: .The ideal candidate for the role of Rehabilitation Assistant will have around 2 years experience in a similar role / environment. You will also have either Care Certificate / or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and have a full UK driving licence. 

You will also be positive, proactive, with a creative, fun and energetic approach!

Key experience essential for the Rehabilitation Assistant role:

- Care Certificate / or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- 2 years’ experience working in a caring role 
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Previous experience of working within a Team
- Flexibility regarding working hours
- Hold a full UK Drivers Licence
- Live within a commutable distance of Wakefield
