Corporate Communications Manager £30,153.00 Per Annum 6 – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Worcester About Our Client My client, a leading organisation within their industry is currently seeking an Corporate Communications Manager to join their team on a 6 - 12 month fixed term contract. Job Description The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for the corporate Communications team, which provides the corporate internal and external communications, creative and media services, press liaison and associated services for the organisation. The offices based in Worcester which is commutable from Malvern, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Worcester, Pershore and surrounding areas. Main Duties: • Overall management and co-ordination of the external and internal communications (including intranet, internet and social media services), marketing, creative and new media services (design, photographic, video and other creative areas0 and press and media activities on behalf of the organisation, including maximising opportunities wherever possible. • Manage this function as a customer focused business unit, providing a service based function as required by the core activities defined by the organisation. This will include logistical management, resource, workflow, ‘traffic' management, financial planning and an annual framework for service provision which is fully auditable. • Act as the corporate press manager as the first port of call for all corporate press and media enquiries; co-ordinate the operation and station based press services with media training personnel and be aware of any positive new stories which are beneficial to promote on the organisations behalf. • Actively liaise with internal customers, stakeholder and partner organisations on all work requirements concerning this function, taking briefs, implementing production and planning delivery of such works within timelines, on schedule and within budget. Be able to challenge work requests to access that they deliver the core activities of the organisation. • To be responsible for determining the strategies for external and internal communications, including major corporate projects, consultations and promotions, their subsequent implementation and outcomes and reporting. • Provide direct line management to the Graphic Design and Communications officer posts and co-ordinate the overall management of all services sub-contracted or outsourced by this team. • Be the responsible brand owner for the organisations brand image including corporate identity, to include technical guidance and standards and promotion of the organisation. • Embrace, identify and exploit new technologies and advances in the media and communication industry, actively encouraging the use of the latest technological advances which will benefit the organisation, including social media, communications, technological advances in production techniques, which will assist in all forms of communications including public and internal consultations and engagement in a measurable manner. • Provide and manage a Creative pool of external media talent from contractors (on casual or call-off contracts), work placements, work experience placements, work experience placements, graduates, students and other opportunities, including crowd-sourcing projects, that will build on the capacity of providing this function and allow for additional resourcing cover at peak periods or periods of leave. • Manage and be accountable for the Corporate Services team budgetary spend and where required, gain quotations, incompliance with the organisations financial regulations, for the production of a wide and diverse range of materials and advertising media, both in hard copy and digital or online and ensure all services are undertaken in line with instructions to the required quality standards and ensuring value for money. • Provide advice on any contractual arrangements made by other departments or stakeholders when any services are being sort comply with the corporate requirements for creative services, media or communications and corporate branding. • To be responsible for all policies, guidance and protocols that affect this service area (including legal obligations such as copy right and intellectual property rights) providing advice to senior management and staff at all levels of the organisation. • To undertake any other duties as may be required. The Successful Applicant • Proven experience in a similar role at a similar level. • Demonstrated experience in a communications role in a management level within a large diverse organisation. • Good standard of English and grammar as the successful candidate will be required to write high quality and professional communications on a daily basis. • Proven experience working in a high-pressurised deadline driven customer focused environment, delivering a high volume of work within timescales, deadlines and within budget. • Proven experience of the procurement and management of external contractors, suppliers and other service providers. • Working knowledge of copyright and intellectual property rights is essential, for both the protection of, and use of materials • Demonstrated experience of media and press liaison and legal knowledge What's on Offer? • £30,153.00 per annum • 26 days holidays plus public bank holidays. • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 5:00pm with one hour lunch • Company pension scheme after successful completion of probationary period Please note: this is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 6 - 12 months How To Apply: If you think you have the skills and experience we are looking for then please click to apply.
