Asbestos and Legionella Business Development Consultant - Wakefield

Salary - £21k - £25k + Healthcare + Pension + Wellbeing Plan

Due to expansion our Client is looking to recruit an Asbestos and Legionella Business Development Consultant to join their team.

The Client
Our client is a leading firm for delivering environmental services across the industry. The firm provides a full range of environmental services for local government, housing associations, universities, schools, national retailers, NHS trusts, the hotel and leisure industry, demolition and construction companies, manufacturing, logistics and commercial businesses.
A vacancy has arisen for a full time, self-driven Business Development professional to join there highly successful and growing Asbestos and Legionella Consultancy.
The exciting role will be based there Wakefield office and will require the successful candidate to develop business by targeting clients throughout the north of England.
It is preferable (but not essential) that the applicant comes from a strong sales and business development background and has a proven track record of working within the asbestos and/or Legionella industry.

The Role
The position will require the successful candidate to work in conjunction with the Regional Technical Managers and existing Business Development Team, to co-ordinate activities and campaigns in line with the business plan, to include:
Promoting and selling a range of asbestos and legionella services to new and existing clients in the north of England
Developing and monitoring new business sales pipelines
Maintaining and building a good rapport with new and existing clients
Dealing with enquiries and negotiating appropriately with regards to winning new contracts and work streams
Attending and conducting meetings with new and existing clients
Actively cross selling the company`s range of services including training courses, health and safety consultancy, occupational hygiene and noise assessments.

Highly motivated, creative individual
Proven business development background
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Driven and ambitious in order to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the business
Commercially aware and effective negotiator
Ability to understand legislative and technical information to maximise sales
Ability to develop networking opportunities within the local area with the appropriate business and trade associations
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to present themselves and the business to potential clients
IT literate with experience of working with a variety of software packages, including a proven and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Asbestos and Legionella Industry experience and the BOHS P402/P405 (or equivalent) qualifications would be an advantage, although not essential, as full training will be provided
Willing to travel, when required
A full driving licence is essential.
