A large primary SEN school in Beckenham are looking for a dynamic teacher to join their staff team in September 2018.

This position is a maternity cover, which will last up until Christmas 2018 in the first instance, although this may be extended dependent on your performance.

The class you will be teaching is made up of 8 students in Key Stage 2, with mixed autism needs. Some students are verbal and some are non-verbal so it would be beneficial if you can already use PECs and Makaton. The class are working below the national curriculum level and schemes of work will be available to help you lesson plan.

You would be required to teach communication sessions, physical education sessions, sensory development sessions and a variety of other lessons that are accessible by the students. You would be supported by up to three teaching assistants in the room.

Teaching Personnel can offer a range of training courses once you are registered with us, which are either free or at a reduced cost. You will also have a dedicated SEN consultant working with you, ensuring that you are happy in your new position.

To apply for this position you will need to have QTS in the UK, and previous experience of teaching children with ASC. You must also be able to provide references from your previous employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
