Experienced Technical Support Engineer required to join team of professionals in Crowthorne, Berks with some travel required (must be a car driver)

Joining our clients team in a more senior capacity, as a key Technical Support Engineer, you'll be playing an important part in ensuring their data protection and IT services are delivered efficiently to a wide range of small, medium and corporate customers.
You'll liaise frequently with your colleagues, including our Helpdesk & Service Delivery Coordinator and report to our Technical Director.

Although this is primarily an internal role based at the Crowthorne office, there will be the requirement to visit customers in the field.

Primarily you'll be involved with the following on a day to day basis;

- Providing a high level of technical telephone/remote support and some onsite support
- Diagnosing and fixing issues remotely or when onsite
- Installing and using Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop Operating Systems
- Installing new systems, hardware and software
- Configuring and installing peripherals
- Configuring desktop and servers
- Migrating systems, servers & users
- Supporting mobile devices
- Monitoring network security, firewalls and routers
- Assisting with project work when required

You'll ideally offer at least 3 years+ experience with the following skill sets;

- Microsoft Windows Server (2008/2012/2016 exposure an advantage) operating systems
- Microsoft Windows Desktop (7/8/10) operating systems
- Microsoft Office Applications (2010/2013/2016/Office365)
- Microsoft Exchange Server (/2010/2013/2016)
- Microsoft SQL Server (2008 through to 2017)
- VMWare & Hyper-V technologies
- Networking & wireless configuration
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Backup software technologies
- Antivirus software
