Principal Duties: Assist the Management Accountant in the collation of budget information to enable the production of timely corporate financial reports for internal and external monitoring, through the implementation of policies and to process any changes that will enhance own work area. Assist the Management Accountants in ensuring that the monthly management information accurately reflects the Trusts financial position and making appropriate adjustments to the general ledger where necessary. Providing financial training, advice and support to ward/department managers in understanding and interpreting financial information regarding their budgets, which are made up of several components and are of a complex nature. Responsibility for maintaining systems for ensuring appropriate adjustments are made, where there are discrepancies, to the financial ledger in relation to transfers of budgets between departments. To ensure that appropriate adjustments are made to the budget reconciliation's involving an analysis of a range of options. Responsibility of maintaining systems to enable routine analysis and ledger adjustments to be made following procedures and to meet the differing needs of users. Carries out complex calculations in regards to maternity and sick leave changes. Which later helps to calculate the effect of skill mix changes, changes to service delivery, or external changes, forecasting the impact on the financial position of the Trust and analysing and forecasting financial trends so that strategic decisions are made. Assist the Management Accountants with the production of ad hoc financial reports for internal management decisions making and external reporting. To plan and organise processes & procedures to meet current and future needs, implementing new procedures and systems that are in line with the Trust policies and objectives, assist in planning work for junior staff. The post holder will produce and monitor financial reports for external agencies. Other duties, which may be recognised by the line manager commensurate with the grade. THIS IS A 37.5 HOURS A WEEK ROLE, MONDAY-FRIDAY 9AM-5PM. THE DURATION OF THE ROLE WILL BE 12 MONTHS.
