An Independent school rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted in West London supporting pupils with social emotional and behavioural difficulties and those at risk of exclusion are seeking eager graduates for roles in their Secondary department to start immediately and in September 2018.

This secondary teaching assistant opportunity consists of supporting pupils across KS3- KS5 1:1 and in small groups both in class and across the school. With students completing GCSE, BTEC, Functional Skills, Life skills and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications, candidates ideally need to be confident in academic support and be able to capture the interest of children and young people in learning.

The school Head teacher is keen to meet budding candidates for interviews with those shortlisted to be invited for a trial period in the school. With successful completion, a contract will be devised to offer a permanent placement after a term (20 working weeks).

Requirements:

* Degree level education is essential
* Proven Experience/interest supporting social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Commitment to 8:15 – 4:15pm hours Mon – Fri
* Live in borough of Ealing or in West London
* Open to continued training and development
* Confident, resilient and creative personality

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
