An Independent school in West London providing education for pupils with social emotional difficulties and those at risk of exclusion are seeking to appoint psychology and sociology graduates to start immediately and in September 2018 within the school.

This teaching assistant role is a great opportunity for graduates looking to become therapists, mental health and Youth Offending Team support workers as this role will provide invaluable experience. The role consists of supporting pupils across KS2 - KS5 and with students completing KS4 with GCSE, BTEC, and Functional Skills, Life skills and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications, candidates ideally need to be confident in academic support and be able to capture the interest of children and young people in learning.

This is a temporary to permanent position with interviews held by the school principal and those shortlisted to be invited for a trial period in the school. Those who are successful and receive positive feedback will then be offered a contract with permanent placement after a term (20 working weeks).

* Psychology or Sociology Degree
* Experience/interest supporting social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Commitment to 8:15 – 4:15pm hours Mon – Fri
* Live in borough of Ealing or in West London
* Confident in academic and social support of pupils
* Committed to long term temporary and permanent placement
