Our client school located on the border of Wigan and Leigh are looking to appoint a Teacher of Sociology and Criminology to deliver A Level Sociology course and Applied Diploma in Criminology.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a full time post within a high achieving Roman Catholic Sixth Form College.

* Full time Sociology and Criminology teacher – 12 month contract – September 2018 start
* Ofsted graded Good 11-18 secondary school/sixth form
* A Level Sociology and Criminology experience essential
* Pay in line with experience

This school wish to appoint a Sociology and Criminology teacher who is a dedicated and motivated professional, with the ability to provide outstanding teaching and learning. The ideal applicant will be qualified at degree level in a relevant subject. In addition, you will hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this. You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience of delivering sociology/criminology.

Located on the border of Wigan and Leigh, the school has excellent motorway and public transport links from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Salford and Bolton. This school aims to ensure students are keen to learn and make outstanding progress in their lessons, and the incoming Sociology and Criminology teacher will be able to demonstrate creativity in their subject and encouraging pupil participation.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
