Job Title: Service Delivery Manager – Reactive Maintenance

Location: East London, E3

Salary: Circa £40k.

Contract: 6 months

I am currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager (Reactive Maintenance) for a Housing Maintenance organisation based in East London. The role is responsible for the effective line management and development of the team to deliver all aspects of service improvement including customer communications, complaint handling, legal disrepair, latent defects, insurance claims etc.

Key duties as a Service Delivery Manager:

• Responsible for the effective line management and development of the team to deliver the functions of the business.
• Responsible for all aspects of service improvement ensuring the effective monitoring and management of customer communications and complaints
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring the sharing of information to support effective operation of the business
• Produce timely and informative management reports as requested
• Responsible for project managing all activities, ensuring that objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard of service
• Ensure an effective administration contribution for repairs, carried out to time and quality standards
• Monitor and manage sub-contractor performance to achieve agreed KPIs
• Strive to create industry best practice, including market research and user engagement to improve services

Technical Knowledge and Skills required:

• Previous work experience in a line management capacity within the housing / maintenance sector
• Track record of developing and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers and customers
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Self-motivated, assertive and confident
• Ability to think strategically and to make decisions
• Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to problem whilst delivering
• Experience of working in the Housing/Property sector
• A good level of understanding of financial and budgetary control disciplines
• Good track record of managing operational change and managing resistance
• High levels of attention to detail
• Knowledge of project management principles (desirable)
