Working in Central Croydon, we are looking for a Systems Accountant to join this large services business and support the implementation project of their new ERP system, specifically focusing on the Payroll Module. Reference : HT10945 Systems Accountant - Payroll Module Implementation - About The Role This services business is looking to implement a new ERP system and they are looking for an individual help with the implementation project with specific focus on the Payroll Module of the software. Working in Croydon, within walking distance of East Croydon station, you will join the business as a Systems Accountant on an initial 2-year contract (this has every possibility to be extended and even go permanent) that will be looking to roll out the UK Payroll module of the new ERP system before looking at a US roll out then global roll out. Within this Systems Accountant role you will be working with the Payroll Managers to identify functional gaps and ensure global rollout requirements will be met with a smooth transition. Duties and responsibilities for this Systems Accountant position will include: Assist the Project team with implementation, development and understanding of the Payroll module of the New ERP system This will include the configuration and payroll set up for each subsidiary, ensuring that all needs are met within the business units Support the Payroll Managers to identify functional gaps and global rollout requirements Provide on-going training and support to end users Provide additional support with the go-live deadlines The successful Systems Accountant will have the following skills, experiences and qualifications: Ideally you will be Part Qualified, Finalist or hold a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Demonstrate a good understanding of payroll accounting principles and calculation of gross pay Previous Systems Accounting experience including implementations, testing and data migration of specific modules (ideally Payroll) Able to work to tight deadlines and pick up new systems quickly to demonstrate and understanding of the new requirements Additionally, it would be desirable (by not essential) to have the following experience: Experience with a timesheet based project accounting system Experience of high transactional volume multi-currency business Exposure or use of Maconomy Experience of working with a Payroll department Payroll Systems Accountant - Benefits With this role you will be offered a competitive salary along with a generous benefits package including Pension, 25 Days Holiday, Healthcare and non-contractual bonus Howett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
