“Our support team is expanding for September 2018, and due to this we wish to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to join our team in the new academic year. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work with identified pupils across Key Stage Three and GCSE, monitoring behaviour and implementing strategies to improve behaviour across the cohort with the support of the SENCO and Inclusion Manager” – Head Teacher.

**Experience working with children and young people within an educational/youth work setting is highly desirable for this position. **

The large RC Secondary school is oversubscribed with 1,300 pupils currently on roll. The school services a diverse community, resulting in higher than average number of pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and significantly more pupils receiving Pupil Premium funding throughout their education. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work with a range of pupils across the Key Stages who have been identified to display challenging behaviour in school. These pupils will work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to improve behaviour, motivation and standards throughout next academic year.

Located near to North Manchester, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M60 motorway. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links from neighbouring areas Rochdale and Oldham that lead directly to the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
