Behaviour Support Assistant – 12 Month from September

If so, teaching personnel are currently recruiting a behaviour support assistant on behalf of our client school in the Bolton area.

This behaviour teaching assistant is a full time role whereby you will be required to support the learning and engagement of young students aged 11-16 who show signs of challenging behaviour and otherwise may struggle in mainstream education.

Behaviour Support Assistant;

* Supporting individual pupils across all subjects areas including; Maths, English and Science

* 12 month fixed term contract working full time from September

* Working on a 1-to-1 basis with identified pupils and with small groups.

* Previous experience working with pupils with learning difficulties or behavioural issues desirable

* Earn up to �1000-�1200 per month

This school are looking for a behaviour support teaching assistant to join their current inclusion team due to a number of pupils which have been enrolled for September that have been identified as requiring additional learning support. As a behaviour support teaching assistant you will be able to build strong relationships, act as a role model and promote good behaviour. You will be required to provide a firm but fair in your approach when working alongside individual pupils to ensure their reach their full potential. Although you will be working with students on a 1-1 basis you may also be asked to work with groups students within the schools inclusion centre.

You will be working within a ‘Good’ rated school which has around 1800 pupils on roll currently, which is much larger than the average sized secondary school. The school is located in Bolton, close to Horwich and can easily be accessed via the M61 motorway. Public transport links are very accessible and support the surrounding areas of Wigan, Chorley, Preston, Bury and Salford. This school is constantly improving and the school are looking for somebody who can raise standards in class where possible.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
