Are you a qualified English Graduate, or in your final year of an English degree and wish to pursue a career in teaching in the future? Are you seeking a full time position in September to gain further experience within a Secondary school setting?

Teaching Personnel have an ongoing collaboration with the Salford Diocese, and are recruiting on behalf of our client RC Secondary school in the Moston region of North Manchester. The school wish to appoint an English Graduate teaching assistant to join their English faculty in the new academic year. This position will fully equip the successful English Graduate for future PGCE and teacher training applications.

* Earn up to �300 per week, depending upon previous experience

* Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 within the English department

The role of English Graduate teaching assistant will incorporate working in partnership with English teachers to plan and deliver plenary activities. There will be ample opportunities to cover full class lessons in the absence of the teacher, and the main aspect of the role will be to work with identified pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four to raise attainment and cement learning.

Our partner RC Secondary school is significantly larger than the national average with 1,300 pupils on roll at present. Due to the size of the school, the English faculty is within its own building with eleven classrooms and a space for open learning activities. All intervention and small group activities take place within the open learning area and the successful English Graduate teaching assistant will be responsible for this.

Situated in Moston, the school can be reached via the M60 motorway. Nearby areas Oldham, Rochdale and central Manchester provide a direct route to the school. For non drivers, there is a train station nearby, and frequent buses from central Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
