Web Developer / Web Application Developer

A Web Developer / Web Application Developer is needed to join the Media Technology team for a global eCommerce and TV retailer. Working from state-of-the-art offices in Chiswick, expect to play a key role researching, designing and developing applications and services that support global broadcast operations.

With over 20 years` experience and operations in countries across the globe, this household name eCommerce / TV retailer employs over 17,000 people worldwide and are ranked as one of the world's top multimedia shopping companies in terms of both viewers and revenue. Continuing to experience exciting levels of growth, they are now seeking a super talented Web Developer / Web Application Developer who has knowledge of common technology stacks (old & new) and some experience of working within a broadcast television / video-based environment to join their leading team.

Reporting to the Senior Applications Manager, the Web Developer / Web Application Developer will be involved in the full application lifecycle; from assisting with requirements capture and design, to leading the build, configuration, testing and deployment of products.

To qualify- � You should be a Web Developer / Web Application Developer / Web Developer (.NET) / .NET Developer / .NET Web Applications Developer or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

- Experience of working within in an agile software development environment that offers and supports 24/7 IT services;
- Knowledge of video scheduling and playout services;
- Commercial experience delivering enterprise level applications serving multiple end users and including exposure of full SDLC;
- Experience of technical assessments, build documentation, test plans;
- The ability to use leading software development tools to create and manage the delivery of your applications;
- Experience of preparing for and undertaking unit and integration testing and managing the roll out of products to production;
- The ability to create accurate support documents and diagrams;
- You are a confident communicator and keen to be part of a global team working within a live, fast-paced live 24/7 environment.

Technologies and tools featured include, but are not limited to: Visual Studio 2008 and above; .NET 3.5 or above; C, ASP.NET MVC, WPF, Silverlight, Jira, J2EE. Object-oriented development practices include Unit Testing, TDD, BDD, Scrum, CI/CD, Design patterns and UML. Web Service technologies include SOAP, XML, JSON, REST, WebAPI, HTTP, WCF/C++, Java, Flash, Python, Javascript, Ruby, PHP, Rails and JSP. Database technologies include Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle 10, Entity Framework, and NHibernate.
