For their HR team in Gloucester, Kelly Services is recruiting an HR Advisor to cover maternity leave for a minimum of 12 months. You will be incorporated into a friendly, energetic and warm HR team where a busy workload is the norm.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for all things generalist, particularly Employee Relations matters. You will work in a wider HR team, with 2 other HR professionals in your immediate team. You will expected to manage some Employee Relations casework, as well as partnering with particular areas of the business on a variety of HR matters including training of line managers, project work and policy changes and implementation.

The objective is to work with line managers to manage their Employee Relations from a commonsensical approach, ensuring that you are dealing with any issues or queries which arise at the earliest point. Your priorities will include safeguarding the people aspect of the organisation both legally and culturally.

The HR team also encourage each other to help with fluctuations in workload and will cover each other on occasion.

Skills you need to succeed:

Ideally you will have a good level of depth and breadth of Human Resources experience which comes from working as a HR Administrator, HR Assistant, HR Officer or HR Advisor previously. It is advantageous to have dealt with a mix of ER cases in the past in order to be able to offer relevant advice easily and confidently.

You will build credibility quickly, ingraining yourself in a team who work incredibly well together. You are also part of a wider HR function across the international community.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes working in an international environment. There are individuals based in each location across Europe, but you will have some involvement in the HR matters where necessary, and be part of a wider purpose.

The offices are easily accessible, with parking on site, plenty of break-out space and an open plan HR office.

There is a possibility of an extension dependent on the status of the team after 12 months, but is not guarenteed.
