Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a SEN Teacher for a lovely, Ofsted rated 'Good' Special Needs Primary School located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The role is to start in September with a strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate. The role will be teaching KS1 and KS2 pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including ASC, SLD and PMLD.

Additional qualifications such as Team Teach is desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or Teachers with mainstream Primary experience.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-6 months experience teaching students with ASC, SLD and PMLD in a mainstream or SEN setting

-Up to date Team Teach and a good understanding of SEND

-Adaptable across subjects and a good Primary curriculum knowledge

-Qualified Teacher status with a good understanding of differentiation and behaviour management

-Patient and nurturing mannerism

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
