The Role:

This is a great opportunity for a qualified individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive team environment. The successful individual will work as part of a team to deliver an exceptional OH service to our client and help bring success to this contract and the Company.
The successful Occupational Health Nurse will join our team based at our clients` site in Govan, Glasgow on a full-time basis. This role will also require regular travel to a second site based locally in Scotstoun and the flexibility to undertake the occasional night-shift (once or twice per quarter) with any hours after 7pm subject to an additional shift allowance.
The role involves a range of activities including health surveillance and pre-placement/fitness assessments as well as delivering health and wellbeing promotion and general health services.
You will provide a full OH service, provide health surveillance and provide professional advice, support and guidance to the client and wider multidisciplinary team.
You will act as a mentor and professional role model to the team Technicians.
You will assess clients presenting to Occupational Health and their fitness to work for the appropriate job role and issue appropriate fitness certificates.
You will write letters to GPs, maintain appropriate records, provide clinical support to the first aid provision and assist in the provision of health promotion and wellbeing on site.
The role offers 25 days Annual Leave.
You will be Registered general nurse or hold a qualification in adult nursing. You will hold a Driving licence and be a car owner. You will also have experience of conducting health assessments, health surveillance and this will include lung function, HAC`s and Audio.
You will also be a great communicator and able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
