Overview of the Senior Support Engineer role:

In this role you will be part of our client's core Service Delivery Team, working closely with a great team of engineers, sales people and senior management team. This is a client facing role, which means you will be involved with the resolution of escalated support issues and assist the project team with the deployment of new systems and technologies for their major accounts in central London.

This role combines a mix of remote and onsite work as well as being actively involved in both the project lifecycle and the creation of content (videos, knowledgebase articles and tips) to help drive and improve the value our clients get from our services.

You will be encouraged and supported to acquire appropriate certifications and accreditations in relevant technologies as part of your on-going career development plan.

About the Senior Support Engineer role:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

* Being the highest point of escalation on the helpdesk
* Assisting with the delivery and management of client, and internal projects
* Escalating issues to 3rd parties as and when required
* Liaising with clients' application support teams

Required Skills & Technical Experience of the Senior Support Engineer:

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience. You will also need to have worked within an outsourced IT (preferred) or internal helpdesk environment:

* Windows Server 2008 -2012 R2 build, 2016 deployment and administration
* Cloud services administration and support (ideally Google Apps and Office 365)
* Exchange 2007 -2016, Exchange online deployment/migration and configuration
* Office 365 Administration
* Server Virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMWare ) configuration and administration
* Windows 7 - Windows 10
* Office 2007 - Office 2016
* Group Policy Management
* Firewall and Network Switching, VPN / VLAN
* Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
* Consultancy / Project experience

Any experience with the following would be beneficial:

* Remote Desktop Services / Azure
* Powershell
* Mobile Device Management
* OS and application imaging / deployment
* Mimecast administration
* Datto administration
* Meraki administration

You must also be able to demonstrate:

* Excellent written and spoken English
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers over the phone and face to face
* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Flexibility, patience and a strong work ethic
* Logical, methodical and organised approach to problem solving
* Excellent timekeeping

Any experience with the use or support of IT Glue, Connectwise and Continuum is desirable.

Education / Qualifications required of the Senior Support Engineer:

You must have at least:

* 5 years' experience in a similar role
* MCSE/MCSAs in Server disciplines
