Water Leakage Assistant - Worthing

These roles would be ideal for candidates coming out of education and looking to secure work, or candidates looking for a career change and an opportunity begin a new role in an exciting and wide ranging environment. These roles will provide excellent progression and development opportunities.

Our client is a well established utilities contractor in the water industry, and they are currently looking for several junior Water Leakage Assistants to work across Hampshire on a large leakage detection contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain training in the water industry, and you will be to be able to sound for water leaks and work closely with senior technicians to help decrease water leaks and identify issues in the water mains.

What you will have to do:
Carry out water leakage detection activity on behalf of the client.
Work closely with a senior leakage technician to help decrease leaks.
Using listening equipment to identify leaks and issues in water mains.
Undertake training to secure a Water Hygiene card and potential further qualifications.
Be happy to work in an outdoor environment and travel between jobs.
Pass a basic CRB Check.

What you will need:

A full manual driving licence is required.
Some experience in the water industry is helpful but not essential.
A desire to secure a new role or begin a career in water.
Positive attitude to learning and developing yourself and your skills.

As mentioned, the ideal candidate will hold a full valid UK driving license (ideally clean), be happy to work in a outdoors environment and be prepared to learn new skills. The role will be mainly working outside on your feet, so it is important any candidates applying are comfortable with that.

You will be provided with a van, fuel card, equipment and PPE and will be given in depth training. The role is on a 40 hour per week basis, Mon-Fri.

This role is on a rolling contract, with the opportunity of permanent employment if your work is completed to a high standard. Previous experience is not essential in this role, however a strong work ethic and desire to do well is the most important characteristic for any successful candidate.
