Payroll Team Leader 6 month fixed term contract Salary: Up to £30,000 + company benefits Bedford Our Client, a leading organisation within the technology and consultancy sector is currently seeking a Payroll Team Leader to join their dynamic team on a full time, contract basis in Bedford The suitable candidate will work as a dedicated point of contact for client allocation, providing clients and colleagues with support on payroll and payroll system issues as well as managing, coaching and developing a small team of Payroll administrators in order to ensure operational efficiency. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert within an Outsourced environment. Duties Include; · Works as the first point of contact in the delivery centres for Client HR Representative in a Managed Services delivery model: · Delivering excellent service to internal and external clients · Utilising existing account and payroll knowledge to support the client base · Acting as a “go to” subject matter expert for specific payroll advice · Communicating with clients in a professional, effective and polite manner · Using the client management system to record details of all client contact; telephone, email or client visits · Completing Clients’ payroll instructions in the appropriate priority order · Possessing full awareness of specific client requirements, ensuring these are documented within the payroll system · Works as the first escalation level for Tier 1 agent in a Comprehensive Services delivery Model · Completing all tasks set (payroll and administrative) accurately and efficiently · Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed adopting professionalism at all times · Conducting account client reviews in person to review payroll service · Identifying and stepping in, where appropriate, to take responsibility for monitoring a team and appropriate work flow · Demonstrating competence in processing checking a Tier 1 or complex payroll accurately · Acting as a team/department contact for knowledge in statutory maternity pay, pensions and complex payroll issues · Demonstrating competence in processing/checking a Tier 1 or complex payroll accurately · Participating in projects aligned to deliver departmental or business objectives · Providing support on Applications and System Changes. · Tax reporting · Delivery of information to 3 rd parties · Underpayment management/overpayment management · End of Year Activities · Ensures SAP Payroll Calendar implementation Skills and Experience; · HR expertise (Personnel Administration, payroll) · Experience of leading or supervising a small team · Good analytical skills · Experience gathering information and problem solving · Good communication and customer service skills · Strong teamwork skills · Ability to work under pressure This is an exciting opportunity to join an interactive and dynamic team within a market leading, global organisation working Monday-Friday.
