Project Engineer

This leading organisation is actively seeking a to join their company working on an initial 6-month contract based at their site in Barrow-in-Furness.

The Role

As a Project Engineer within the PM team – You will work on a high profile contract and play a key part in engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure our project is delivered successfully, particularly Programme Changes. You will be part of a team enabling the delivery of the programme which includes design change, production, test & development, support and warranty.


* Programme Manager in processing and executing: Contract Modifications
* Supporting the development of Technical, Support and Production-related Change solutions and costs, in accordance with LCM Mandates
* Work effectively with critical Functions such as Procurement, Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Finance and PM
* Occasional interface with US Government Customer and occasional US travel
* Responsibility for the implementation of good Project Management practice
* Define, execute and plan contractual deliverables on time and to budget.
* Identify and analyse potential schedule issues and propose corrective solutions.
* Work with key stakeholders and other functions to ensure contractual deliveries are on time, to cost and quality.
* Communicate with internal and external customers both formally and informally
* Participate in, or possibly chair, multi-functional internal meetings.
* Produce periodic metrics to demonstrate performance against contract and customer requirements.
* Compile and produce weekly and monthly associated reports.

6 month contract initially

£30.15 per hour

To be successful in the role…

You will be confident and able to manage a number of tasks effectively, to timescales and quality. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a number of different stakeholders both internally and externally. You will be proactive with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Good IT skills are essential and SAP knowledge preferred.

* Recognised PM training / qualification
* Experience of Stakeholder Management
* Risk Management experience
* IT Literate – MS Office / SAP
