Are you a Technology teacher available as of end of June/beginning July for a year? Or perhaps available in September 2018?

Our client secondary school is looking for a Technology teacher to join their Technology department specifically teaching Food Technology. The successful Technologist needn’t have specific experience teaching Food Technology, but willingness to learn and engage with students with strong classroom management is a vital aspect of this teaching position.

The school is highly supportive of all teachers with supply teachers being no exception. The successful Technology teacher will therefore gain extensive support from the Head of Department.

This full time teaching role is to start at the end of June/beginning of July covering a maternity leave which is due to begin. This will therefore continue in September for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Key aspects of this Technology teaching position:

** Full time Technology position teaching specifically Food Technology within a highly supportive department and school environment

** Start June/July 2018 or September depending on the teacher’s availability

** Pay in reflection of a teaching salary in line with pay scale: 22917 - 38633

** Opportunity to support a teacher’s NQT/Induction year

** Teach within a supportive school; part of a wider trust of secondary schools

** Regular CPD and career development opportunities

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technology teacher looking for their next full time teaching position or perhaps an NQT looking for their first Technology teaching position. Situated in the central Manchester area, the school is a part of a local trust of secondary schools with a solid reputation.

The school will be looking to shortlist candidates as soon as possible and arrange a lesson observation along with an interview with the Head of Faculty. Therefore, if you are due to be available either in June/July or September (school would hold out for the right candidate) then apply not with your latest CV and availability. Contact Shiv in the Manchester South Secondary branch for any further information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
