Contracts Manager

Location: London

Salary: �30,000 - �35,000 per annum

Permanent - Full Time - 37.5 hours a week

Our client's specialist Health & Sustainability Team is designed to address the multi-faceted challenges within this sector. They are able to deliver sustainable cost effective solutions through their unique partnership approach, which supports our client's needs to improve their environmental performance. The team includes on site staff management with over 40 employees working embedded in customer sites. Customer service and offering the best sustainability initiatives

Main Tasks and Accountabilities of the Contract Manager:

* Ensure all staff adhere to the company code of conduct, policies and procedures.
* To report any incidents that may cause harm or danger to staff and public
* Regular monitoring and observation of staff to ensure that they are working/ behaving in an acceptable manner and according to the company contractual requirements.
* Assist with the administration and other functions necessary for HR management (payroll, attendance records etc.)
* Undertake and/or arrange training with new-starter and current staff, and update HR records accordingly
* Conduct regular, minuted team meetings with operatives to ensure any issues are raised and dealt with.
* To support the client with advice on all aspects of waste management
* To assist the client in ensuring compliance of waste segregation/ movements
* Management of staff and jobs for the removal of waste streams from the sites
* Management of equipment breakdowns on site and rectification of these faults (e.g. compactors and tugs)
* Report monthly on progress with key financial/ tonnage information, project updates and strategic planning
* Recharge on internal waste functions with assistance provided to the Trust as requested
* Introduction of initiatives and innovations in partnership with Bywaters Sustainability Manager and Customer

Skills and Experience Required in Becoming the Successful Contracts Manager:

* Possess a strong technical understanding of high-value commercial and contract
management.
* An experienced and driven people Manager.
* A robust background in customer-facing engagement.
* Strong negotiation skills are essential as is the ability to lead, develop and engage with your team.
* Able to demonstrate a track record of driving performance improvement of existing processes using customer insight, and market analysis and your commercial acumen.

Working hours and days:

* Contracted 40 hours per week
* Core working days: Monday to Friday
* Overtime for holiday cover or as requested by management
* Managed service is 24/7 so out of hours duties/ calls will be required from time-to-time

Security clearance (DBS) will be required for this role
