Care Home Manager - Whitfield Dover Kent

Salary: £25k to £28k with quarterly bonuses based on budget £1,000/qtr)
Hours - Full Time

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the home.

Reporting to the Operations Manager.
- Responsible for keeping own mandatory training up to date.
- Liaising and building strong relationships with Professionals
- Responsible for recruitment / staff inductions
- Maintaining staffing levels / reducing staff turnover
- Completing supervisions / appraisals
- Rota`s / authorising Annual leave
- Supporting and Managing the Team to manage the running of the shift.
- Occupancy levels / working in line with the required revenue
- Pre-admission assessments
- Completion of care plans and Risk assessments / ensuring reviewed according to procedure
- Ensuring all residents general & mental health needs are meet.
- Promoting Person centered Care and individualized care for all our residents
- Budget Control
- Holding Team Meeting / Residents Meetings
- Quality Assurance compliance checks
- Health & Safety checks
- Completion of compliance Audits: Infection Control, Medication, Accidents, Nutrition etc.
- Referrals to dieticians, O.Ts Etc.
- Submission of weekly reports to Operations.
- Working in line with company Policy and procedures.
- Attendance of local forums etc.

This is just some of the roles the home manager is responsible to ensure the standards are meet.
The Home Manager is required to be on call, liaising with the Deputy to share the responsibility.
Full support and extra training will be given via the operations Manager & Company.

Training & Experience Required:
- NVQ 4 in Care or Diploma Level 5 Required or NVQ 3 and near to completing Diploma 5.
- At least 2 years` experience as a Deputy Manager
- Experience of working within an Elderly setting
- IT skills (Basic)

Knowledge Required:
- Strong understanding of the 5 domains Residential homes are inspected under - the changes around the KLOES.
- Safeguarding protocols and compliance
- KCC compliance requirements
- EHO standards inspected under
- Good Knowledge of Health & Safety requirement with a care home.
- Clear understanding around Risk assessments and Care plans.
- Understanding around MCA`s and DOLs
- Medication Administration and management
