As part of our commitment to sales excellence an exciting new opportunity has been created for a Sales & Product Training Manager based in Preston.

The Role: As a Sales & Product Training Manager, you will to support the delivery of AgriBriefing's strategic objectives by creating and taking the lead role in delivering the sales training strategy. A priority will be to support the teams in the transition from a print-centric to digital first business by rapidly increasing the level of digital knowledge and skills within the business and enabling them to maximise on existing and emerging commercial opportunities.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all customer facing colleagues have the skills, knowledge and capability to deliver an exceptional customer service and have the tools and skills to maximise selling opportunities across all print, digital, event and subscription commercial channels.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Evaluate existing skill gap to create and deliver an effective sales training programme
- Design, plan and deliver the induction programme for new joiners
- Provide on-going coaching, support and knowledge to the sales teams to enable them to sell across all platforms/channels to market
- In conjunction with the relevant sales managers, devise a personal development plan for each member of the sales team
- Regular evaluation of personal development plans ensuring any new training needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
- Ensure the product/technical knowledge of the sales teams is up to date to ensure teams are equipped to sell effectively
- To work closely with Sales, Marketing, Tech, Events, Content, HR and Production leaders to develop creative, professional and relevant sales toolkits
- Work with project team to accelerate performance improvement through the Sales Effectiveness Programme
- Evaluate KPI’s and performance dashboards to identify and prioritise and deliver training and development where appropriate
- Support the delivery of productivity targets and measurements and work with sales managers and HR to ensure performance is managed effectively
- Analyse and interpret management information to identify trends at group, team or individual level and create interventions to support optimum performance
- Maintain a complete database of staff training
- Work with HR to embed a culture of self-learning
- Manage training budget in conjunction with HR
- Provide support for new business initiatives that require training input

Essential Candidate Criteria for the Sales & Product Training Manager:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales background with track record of successful sales career to date
- Three to four years learning and development experience gained in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders within the business
- Proven experience of managing change within a fast-moving organisation
- Passion for continuous self-development and learning
- Advanced digital knowledge
- Knowledge of sales/CRM systems and how to maximise results
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all social media challenges
- Previous experience working within a digital and or media environment
