With a global network of suppliers they provide services for all aspects of international trading, including marketing, logistics, finance and after sales support Due to their continuous growth an opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hands-on Business Development Manager (Home Based) Morocco.

Purpose of the role:
The jobholder will operate as the company Representative (Working from home; initially) in Casablanca and will be responsible for developing a sustainable and profitable trading business, importing into North African region.
The main focus of the job holder is to develop positive business relationships with prospective customers with the intention of selling product that is being offered by the sourcing offices. The job holder will also look at the opportunities for new products which could have synergy with existing products and advise the sourcing office accordingly.
The job holder is also responsible for keeping the sourcing offices informed in an organised and regular manner about developments in the market place including activities of competitors and matters relating to the customers.
Thereafter sales growth into neighbouring and associated sales territories is envisaged such as other African countries.
Frequent travel is required to visit customers and suppliers.

Products: Key products Polymers, PVC. PET, PET Preforms. However the job holder could also handle other packaging raw materials such as Tinplate, Aluminium sheets, Paper and PP bags.

Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities)

Provide regular analysis of market potential for imports of various products listed above for enamelling into the market place. Thereafter to conduct desk and field research to identify sales potential in the region.
Target stable medium to large-scale fabricators / service centres / end users and, negotiate with customers to ensure that sales are made at optimum price levels with acceptable profit margins and with commercial conditions that minimise risk and maximise market presence.
Provide monthly progress reports detailing business development prospects, current enquiries and all other relevant data to assist London office to conduct risk analysis assessments where necessary.
Develop and maintain customer relationships and engender goodwill, for business growth.
To achieve the mutually agreed sales targets.
From time to time, conduct appraisals on other African markets where a potential product roll out is envisaged to similarly strong and financially stable customers.
Take an active role in dispute resolution and mitigation of any claims which may from time-to-time arise.


You will be able to demonstrate the following:
Extensive knowledge of the Morocco market with contacts across the country and preferably around the world
Demonstrable experience of building relationships across North Africa market, specifically in Morocco. Have minimum 2 years of experience in selling Polymers and/or PET resins to customers in North African countries.
Proven experience of hunting new business leads, generating and exceeding sales growth against set targets
