Science Teacher – September start

The Governors of one of our partner schools are seeking to appoint a full time temporary Teacher of Science from 1st September 2018. This appointment will be for 1 year until 31st August 2019 in the first instance.

The school are seeking a well-qualified, talented and ambitious Science teacher, who is a specialist in either Biology, Physics or Chemistry to teach across ability range at KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will be experienced and passionate about Science and possess good classroom management skills. The role will require commitment to high standards of teaching and learning to ensure all our students achieve their potential. The teacher will have the skills and expertise to provide challenge and opportunity in lessons to develop pupil thinking and wider skills. The teacher must be committed to the core values and vision of the school and keen to engage in departmental initiatives. The post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop experience in a dynamic and forward thinking environment.

The Science department at the School has specialist subject teachers and has achieved high levels of academic success at KS4 and KS5.

The secondary School is a popular, very successful 11-18 comprehensive school. In their recent ESTYN inspection the school was again judged to be “Excellent”.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
